Shannon has over a decade of legal experience. In 2014, she began working with the Law Office of Charles Sevilla - a well-known and respected criminal appellate practice. In 2016 she launched Laoye Legal, working with solo practitioners and small firms in areas of civil and commercial litigation, business formation, State and Federal criminal defense (pre and post-conviction), contract disputes, civil-rights , personal injury, medical malpractice, and elder abuse cases.

Between 2017 and 2019 she clerked at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California; researching cases, analyzing conflicting opinions, and providing judicial officers nuanced and helpful analysis of the relevant law. She continues doing so for judicial officers at the state level - reviewing and analyzing hundreds of cases a year.

Since clerking for the Southern District she has been sought after by other attorneys and small firms to assist and consult on various cases - some of which headline news articles, major media, and news outlets. Her vast knowledge and expertise are now accessible- not only to judicial officers and legal professionals- but also to You.
